The Morris Cap is a brass cap including stainless steel chain. The cap is available in internal and external thread.
Instantaneous (John Morris) Coupling
Fire hose coupling is used for connecting hose to fire hydrants or fire pumps and other hose equipment.
Manufactured in accordance with the BS336 standard. The BS and BSRT couplings are mainly used in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Arab countries. Both are asymmetric, which means that the BS coupling has both a male and a female component and the BSRT has both male and female threads. The correct allocation must be strictly adhered to. The BS coupling is available from 1.5″ to 2.5″ and is used for pressure supply operations. These couplings can be connected by inserting them into each other.
The female end has two spring-loaded cams that are pulled out to release the male. The BSRT coupling is available from 3″ to 5.5″ and is used for suction operations. The female and male threads of the BSRT couplings are also called “British Standard Round Threads”. In comparison with the Storz, Gost and Nor couplings, the BS and BSRT couplings are not sold separately, but in pairs.
