The cellular rubber 400 has a very wide range of applications due to its durable properties. Due to its weather-resistant and waterproof properties, it is often used as a draught excluder for sealing gaps, for example. It offers a durable seal against water and air for aluminium and steel windows, partition walls and in the electrical industry. The EPDM cellular rubber is suitable for airtight construction. In addition, it provides shock absorption, absorbs vibrations and is used as an acoustic insulation strip, for example in timber frame construction.
Cellular rubber 400 is easy to press, has good mechanical properties and a closed cell structure. This makes it very suitable as a seal against dust, air and water. This type of cellular rubber will not age or stain faster when in contact with water. As a sealing tape, this material provides a durable solution, both indoors and outdoors. EPDM cellular rubber is also suitable for colder temperatures, down to -40°C.
The raw material EPDM is known for its weather-resistant properties. The black EPDM cellular rubber is therefore very resistant to UV radiation and ozone. That is why it is not only used indoors, but especially for outdoor applications. The material is very resistant to aging, which makes it a sustainable solution for your application.
