Hose Construction

The hoses are constructed from polypropylene, polyamide or polyester films and fabrics, depenting on the application and a outer cover of pvc coated polyester fabrics which is abrasion, weather and ozon resistant. For more demanding applications layers and/or tubes of PTFE and FEP* are used in the construction of the hoses.

Internal and External Wires

· A choice can be made between galcanized steel, polypropylene coated steel and stainless steel 316 internal wire, depending on the application.

· Standard Flextraco hoses have a galvanized external wire but all hoses can me manufactured with a stainless steel external wire as well.

Electrical Continuity

A dual connection between the internal and external wires and en fittings guarantees electrical continuity

Safety

· All Flextraco hose assemblies are pressure tested at 1,5 times their rated working pressure before shipment.

· Test certificates are provided with all Heavy duty Marine hose as a standard.

· All Flextraco hoses are color coded for easy indentification.

Temperatures

· Flextraco composite hoses are suitable for use in operating tempertures from

· –30°C/-22°F to +100°C/+212°F, dependent on the conveyent.
